There are 3 important things you need to do to keep your Safelink service going; but don't worry, they are very easy and we will remind you if you forget.


Keep your phone turned “ON” to receive your minutes automatically, minutes are sent during the first 10 days of the month. If you don’t receive them automatically just follow the instructions from
safelink.com/pending


This government sponsored program requires us to verify that you are using your benefits. If you don’t use your phone at least once every 60 consecutive days your benefit will be cancelled, 6 so what are you waiting for? It’s your phone, use it.


This program requires you to verify your eligibility every year in order to keep receiving your FREE minutes. The good news is it only takes a few minutes by phone/mail and seconds online; and don’t worry, we will remind you when the time is drawing near.

Terms and Conditions

  1. You can change your plan any time at www.safelink.com/plans Changes to the plans before the 25th day of the month will be reflected on your next month's allotment of FREE Minutes. Changes requested on or after the 25th day of the month, will go into effect on the second month after the request to change plans.
  2. Text messages are FREE of charge, Minutes will be deducted depending on the plan you are enrolled in, for both outgoing and incoming messages. Text messages from SafeLink don’t deduct Minutes.
  3. 411 Directory Assistance calls are Free of charge, Minutes will be deducted when dialing 411 from your Safelink phone.
  4. Carryover policy: Customers enrolled in the 250 Minutes Plan will enjoy carryover only when purchasing and adding any TracFone airtime card. In this case any remaining Minutes, both purchased and from the free monthly allotment, will be carried over for up to 3 consecutive months.
  5. International long distance is only available for the 68 Minutes plan. For available destinations please visit www.Safelink.com/International
  6. SafeLink is required to verify that all customers are using their benefits. If you do not use your phone for at least 60 consecutive days your benefit will be cancelled.

+. 911 access is available even if you do not have remaining Minutes. Minutes will be deducted for both outgoing and incoming calls and partial minute usage is rounded up.
